Monthly Plan for EPQ

My monthly plan for my EPQ will be as follows; September To December : Research into the changes to car advertising on television from 1955 until 2020. Pick out adverts from the previous decades to analyse the media language and marketing techniques used. January to February : Perform Textual Analyses on the car advertisements I have picked out and post them on this blog. I will be analysing the media language in the videos and linking certain aspects to the changing economic states of the industry as well as how they tailor each advert to fit their intended target markets. March to May - write out my dissertation on my findings from my study into advertisements and create a video essay to present my findings. Once I have completed my dissertations and essay I shall start planning my evaluation.

My final aim is to produce a video essay documenting my findings, analysing the adverts, and reaching an informed conclusion as to why car advertising has changed over the years shifting from being focused on information and practicality to stylised videos focused more on spectacle and visual without showing much information about the vehicle itself. The videos I have chosen to analyse for far are; 1959 Mini Cooper advert 2020 Mini Countryman  Skoda Fabia Cake Advert and its " made of meaner stuff" follow up advert Kevin Hart Hyundai Superbowl Ad 2020 Ford Puma Adverts Ford Focus Active Butterfly advert Peugeot 2008 (See The City  Differently) International Advert Peugeot 205 1986 Advert Peugeot 206 Advert Mitsubishi ASX Advert  BMW MK6 Matrix Advert (Banned in UK) Ford Street KA (Banned in UK by ASA) 1983 Ford Sierra *This list may ch...
